Antigonish Education Centre, Nova Scotia - Antigonish

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Antigonish Education Centre’s A Playground for Every Body. A Playground for Every Body will service the children of Antigonish, including over 500 students during school hours, as well as 400 students from neighbouring schools. The objective of constructing this playground is to create an accessible play space that can be used by children with and without disabilities. The playground will include a variety of inclusive elements like sensory features including music making areas, learning panels and features that spin.

These funds are made possible through the 2015 Antigonish Spin4Kids Plus fundraising event.

On this final day of #NationalVolunteerWeek, we'd like to introduce you to one of our all-stars. Dr. Dick Barter is a force to be reckoned with. An emergency room physician and group fitness instructor, Dick knows the importance of physical activity in children's' lives. He is the man behind #Spin4Kids - the fundraiser started in St. John's, NL and has since inspired others event locations across the country to rally behind our cause. Under Dick's leadership over the years, the St. John's event alone has raised nearly $700,000 and is always a big party! Dick's passion has been key to bringing us to the next level... he truly is a man with a plan 🌟 #NVW2017 #VolunteeringEh? #Gratitude
