Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation- Ontario, Toronto

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation’s Sports for all Sorts program. Sports for all Sorts is for children, ages 4 – 12, with autism. With the program the children are introduced to sports and movement activities that are designed to encourage physical activity, group co-operation and teamwork in a fun and safe environment. The curriculum is carefully designed and focuses on improving physical activity, gross motor skills, physical strength, social skills and self-esteem. The funds from GoodLife Kids Foundation will ensure that participating children have the support needed to have a successful physical activity experience.

Today we're celebrating the #SummerSolstice and #InternationalYogaDay Yoga is an awesome way to help kids develop important physical and mental skills - and it can be easily adapted for all ages and abilities! For younger children, keep practices short and use stories and familiar animals or objects as cues for them to mimic with their poses. For older kids, try building to some more challenging balancing poses or turn inwards to focus on the stress-relieving benefits of the practice. #activekids #yoga
