Kids Fit, Northern Frontenac Community Services Corporation, Ontario- Sharbot Lake

The Northern Frontenac community is identified as an isolated, economically disadvantaged area where children and families experience barriers to accessing fitness facilities due to their far distance from home (from 20 -90 minutes away). GoodLife Kids Foundation is pleased to support Northern Frontenac’s Kids Fit Program – a new physical activity initiative that runs at 3 schools in the Frontenac Township.

The children who participate in this program will:

  • Increase positive self–esteem
  • Learn team development and cooperation skills
  • Build a network of friends
  • Increase physical fitness

With assistance from GoodLife Kids Foundation, this cost free program will give 132 students the opportunity to participate in weekly soccer activities and inspire students to lead a healthy and active life.
