KidSport, Ontario- Ottawa

Ottawa Hazeldean GoodLife Fitness Club’s commitment to fundraise for GoodLife Kids Foundation during the 2010 Be A Kid’s Superhero Campaign is being recognized with a grant to KidSport Ottawa’s Ultra Play After School Program.

KidSport Ottawa helps children overcome social and economic barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport by providing assistance with registration fees and/or equipment grants.

With a grant from GoodLife Kids Foundation, KidSport Ottawa’s Ultra Play After School Program can be offered at 2 priority schools identified by the Ottawa District School Board. The program introduces a new sport to 96 boys and girls each week such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and tennis. The weekly sessions are offered cost-free and aid in the development of a range of benefits such as increased physical activity and knowledge about the technique and execution of sports.
