Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sport Association- Ontario, Ottawa

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sport Association’s Main Event Sport Club. The program is for boys and girls (ages 8-14) and it provides accessible sport programing for those living with disabilities in the underserved downtown Toronto core. The sport of boccia, has proven to be an important for children and youth living with disabilities that have limited their mobility. Similar to curling and lawn bowling, boccia is designed specifically for persons with physically disabilities. This an inclusive sport that allows the participants to propel the ball using their hands, feet or an assistive device. The precision ball game focuses on what can be done, rather than what can’t. Funds from GoodLife Kids Foundation will support the introduction of this new club in downtown Toronto.
