Saskatchewan Literacy Network Inc. - Saskatoon

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Saskatchewan Literacy Network Inc.’s Inspiring PLAY program, a fun, six week program that explores healthy lifestyle choices for children with disabilities and their families. The goal is to run four sessions with 25 families (50 children) each in urban and rural communities throughout Saskatchewan. Children will have the opportunity to practice physical movement using customized equipment, and improve their skills while being active in an inclusive environment. The funds will support the development of Inspiring PLAY as well as materials needed for the program.

Today we're celebrating the #SummerSolstice and #InternationalYogaDay Yoga is an awesome way to help kids develop important physical and mental skills - and it can be easily adapted for all ages and abilities! For younger children, keep practices short and use stories and familiar animals or objects as cues for them to mimic with their poses. For older kids, try building to some more challenging balancing poses or turn inwards to focus on the stress-relieving benefits of the practice. #activekids #yoga
