Silverwood Heights Elementary School, Saskatchewan- Saskatoon

Approximately 190 students in grades K – 8 will engage in movement activities to support lifelong active living. Activities include Zumba, martial arts, yoga, dance, golf, and tennis as well as school wide “step” challenges measured with pedometers. The step challenge will take into account steps taken before, during and after school.

The Silverwood Heights In Motion aims to give students the opportunity to try activities they might not otherwise take part in, increase physical activity confidence, and expand views on what it means to be healthy and active.
