Special Olympics Canada

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Special Olympics Canada’s Active Start & FUNdamentals Leadership Training program.

Special Olympics’ purpose is to improve the lives of Canadians with intellectual disabilities. Active Start & FUNdamentals are community programs that focus on fun, structured play and the development of fundamental movement skills for children ages 2 - 12. These programs rely on trained volunteers to run the programs and working with special needs individuals requires specific training. Special Olympics Canada provides the necessary leadership skills through their 12 week Youth Leadership Training program, offered at no cost to participants. It is anticipated that 250 youth will be trained and this will directly impact approximately 700 children who will participate in the Active Start and FUNdamentals programs right across Canada.
