Special Olympics Ontario

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Special Olympics Ontario’s PAHL Step Into Action program.

Special Olympics Ontario is committed to engaging individuals with an intellectual disability through all stages of their active lifestyle.  PAHL (Physical Activity Healthy Living) Step Into Action program was created to promote healthy active living to school aged children and Special Olympics athletes across Ontario. The program serves as a bridge to help attract new athletes to the movement while also enhancing the athlete’s abilities to invest in their overall health and wellbeing.

After a successful initial roll out in Ontario the program is now ready to expand nationally to elementary schools in Western Canada, Atlantic Canada, the Territories and continued expansion in Ontario.  Approximately 1,250 students ages 7 to 14 will participate.

Special Olympics Ontario is also being recognized as the GoodLife Kids Foundation 2013 IMPACT Award winners for this program.
