Tatamagouche Elementary School, Nova Scotia- Tatamagouche

GoodLife Kids Foundation is supporting Tatamagouche Elementary School’s Rocks and Rings Program.

Staff members at Tatamagouche Elementary, in Tatamagouche NS, are excited to bring curling to their students as a regular part of their physical education program as well as an option for indoor activity during inclement weather.

Rocks and Rings program visits participating schools for a full school day, taking over the gym as classes take turns doing drills, relays and other team-building activities to introduce students to curling. Unique indoor floor curling equipment is used to provide a true curling experience.

Today we're celebrating the #SummerSolstice and #InternationalYogaDay Yoga is an awesome way to help kids develop important physical and mental skills - and it can be easily adapted for all ages and abilities! For younger children, keep practices short and use stories and familiar animals or objects as cues for them to mimic with their poses. For older kids, try building to some more challenging balancing poses or turn inwards to focus on the stress-relieving benefits of the practice. #activekids #yoga
