Vincent Massey Community School, Saskatchewan- Saskatoon

Teacher David McDougall teaches a grade 6/7 class of 30 girls and boys with a significant number who are unable to participate in organized team sports outside of school-run programs due to financial constraints.

With a grant from GoodLife Kids Foundation, teacher McDougall will offer Fun Fit Friday to his class from February to June. Fun Fit Friday will give students the opportunity to participate in aerobics, yoga, dance, gymnastics, lawn bowling and wheelchair basketball among other fun activities. Students will benefit from learning from different instructors, trying new activities, and through education surrounding nutrition.

Through this program, GoodLife Kids Foundation hopes to see long term habits of physical activity and healthy eating develop in the students.
